This invigorating class is for beginners and advanced writers who want to look closely at techniques for developing well-crafted stories, poetry, and memoir. Every week we will explore a new topic, and learn ways to improve our writing. This class is for anyone who loves great storytelling in all its forms.
Instructors Laura Hoopes and Anita Zachary are published authors with MFA degrees from SDSU in Creative Writing. Pre-registration encouraged. Location: Joslyn Center Ages 55+ Thu 6/8-7/20 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. 7 classes $5 materials fee

LITERATURE ON THE LAWN WITH ROBBI NESTER AND CINDY RINNE
Join the Inlandia Institute for Literature on the Lawn on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Hear poets Robbi Nester and Cindy Rinne read selected poetry from their recently published books. Afterwards, become part of the spotlight with our open mic. This event will take place in front of the Riverside Public Library, located at 3581 Mission Inn Ave, Riverside, CA 92501.
About the Authors:
Robbi Nester is the author of three books of poems: Balance, A Likely Story, and Other-Wise, and is the editor of two anthologies: The Liberal Media Made Me Do It! and Over the Moon: Birds, Beasts, and Trees -- Celebrating the photography of Beth Moon.
Cindy Rinne is the author of several books, most recently, Listen to the Codex, Breathe In Daisy, Breathe Out Stones. She is a founding member of PoetrIE, and a finalist for the 2016 Hillary Gravendyk Prize.
