ARTS WALK FOR BOOK LOVERS
Each reading will be followed by a brief open mic, so bring a poem to share and be in the spotlight too! Sign ups begin at 6:45 p.m.

About the Readers:
Brutus Chieftain (aka Johnny Bender) is the author of Brutus in Benderland. Bender currently works as a journalist at The Press Enterprise in Riverside. At work, Bender edits news stories as well as the weekly Inlandia Literary Journeys print column. Chieftain is co-foun...der of the guerrilla poetry performance troupe, Poets in Distress, and is committed to taking poetry to the people whether they like it or not.
Brutus in Benderland illustrator Steven "Lu" Lossing began drawing at an early age, and received his first rejection notice at 16 when his high school newspaper refused to publish his comic strip "Tommy the Dead Trojan Cat," which featured the school's deceased mascot.
Deenaz Coachbuilder is an educator, artist, poet and environmental advocate. She is a retired school principal and professor in special education, and a consulting speech pathologist. Deenaz's poetry, commentaries and essays have appeared in national and regional publications and poetry blogs in the U.S. and India. Her recent book of poems, Imperfect Fragments, has been received with critical acclaim both here and abroad. Deenaz has exhibited her paintings in oil in diverse venues, including a solo show. Deenaz resides in Riverside, Seattle, and Mumbai, India.
